Junk Removal Crew Member — The Junkluggers | Elgin, IL $18–$22/hour + tips | Full-time & Part-time | No experience required
Who We Are
The Junkluggers of Chicago NW Suburbs is a locally owned junk removal company built on a simple belief: most "junk" isn't junk at all. We donate usable items to local charities — the Furniture Bank, SLSF, the Elgin Community Crisis Center, and Habitat for Humanity ReStore — and recycle everything we can before anything goes to a landfill. When you work here, you're doing real work that makes a real difference in the community.
We're growing fast and looking for reliable, hardworking people to join our crew.
What You'll Do
Work as part of a 2–3 person crew completing junk removal jobs at homes and businesses across the Chicago NW Suburbs
Load furniture, appliances, and debris safely and efficiently
Interact with customers professionally — we're in people's homes and offices, so attitude matters
Sort items on-site for donation, recycling, or disposal
Drive or ride in company vehicles to job sites
Complete jobs on time and document work accurately
Most days start early and wrap by mid-afternoon. Weekend availability is a plus and earns priority scheduling.
What We're Looking For
Able to lift 75+ lbs repeatedly throughout a shift — this is physical work and that's not a small thing
Reliable — showing up on time is non-negotiable
Customer-friendly — you'll be talking to clients on their worst days; patience and a good attitude go a long way
Valid driver's license preferred (not required for all positions)
Previous moving, labor, landscaping, or warehouse experience is a bonus — but we'll train the right person from scratch
What You'll Earn & Get
$18–$22/hour depending on experience [update with your actual range]
Tips — our crews earn tips regularly on top of hourly pay
Flexible scheduling — full-time and part-time positions available
Paid training — we'll teach you everything you need to know
Real advancement — crew lead and route manager roles are available as we grow
Donation receipts and the knowledge that your work genuinely helps people
