CoServe, an Engineering talent solutions leader, is working with our client to identify and hire a PROJECT MANAGER to optimize and improve supply chain and sourcing practices. The Project manager will work with Sourcing and Operations teams locally and globally to drive a program of projects to reduce costs, de-risk supply chain, and ensure steady on-time delivery of product.

Duties will include:

• presentation of results on an ongoing cadence to local and corporate management teams
• coordination of supplied services by consultants and other vendors
• coordination of activities with local Sourcing team

The Project Manager will:

• seek to understand the end-to-end technical requirements of the production as well as end use
• show emotional intelligence in managing change among departments
• think about the long-term sustainability of what is implemented with considerations for business hygiene (i.e. a plan to update drawings in the system of record)
• think through an exit strategy to hand off the finished project to the base business

The 3 immediate performance objectives for this role include:

1. drive a program of projects to reduce costs
2. de-risk supply chain
3. ensure steady on-time delivery of product.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Education Requirements

• BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• MBA is a plus
• PMP preferred (or qualified to sit for certification)

Technical Requirements

• PE license is a plus
• Proficient in Excel – advanced formulas
• Strong familiarity with MS Projects
• Competent in Autocad for drafting

Experience Requirements

• 7 – 10 years of overall experience in industrial or manufacturing
• 3 - 5 years of project management in a manufacturing setting

Mobility & Travel Requirements

• Ability to travel as needed
