Training & development

As the “face” of Soccer Shots, our success as a nationally recognized and locally respected brand is dependent on the exemplary performance of our coaches. It is a coaching coordinators responsibility to assist in hiring, manage, and direct all coaches and coaching needs related to the operation of a Soccer Shots, as well as owning the league and camps. This includes but not limited to the following tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Coaches:

1.Hiring

• Manage CareerPlug/Indeed

• Phone/In person interviews of qualified candidates

• Onboarding new coach when needed

2.Training

• Oversee all aspects of the training process

• Scheduling new coaches with a veteran coach

• Communicating with coaches regarding expectations

• Assigning coaches to rosters on Sports Engine

3. Evaluating

• Evaluate each coach a minimum of two times per season

• -One on one’s with coaches (coffee, lunch, etc)

• -Ability to clearly communicate growth goals and where to improve

• -Season reviews

• -Work with PD to have a season review with every coach at the end of the fall and spring seasons

4. Coaching Culture

• Coordinator will work with PD to ensure culture is fun and healthy

• Assist with executing monthly gatherings

• Check in with coaches via phone, email, text, groupme

• Work with PD to plan coaches trainings

o Spring and Fall

o Ability to not only encourage but also have hard conversations with coaches

5. Social Media

• Support PD with social media platforms (Instagram, facebook)

• Posting

• Taking photos

• Photocircle

• Takes lead on ensuring each location has pictures to send to parents each season

• Notifies PD when photos are ready to be sent

Other

Acts as representative at various events where we activate

Ex. TN AEYC tabling, Trunk or Treats, Camps, etc.
