PARAPROFESSIONAL POSITION AT COASTAL ACADEMY GNETS SERVICES FOR THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR. A member of the Georgia Network for Educational & Therapeutic Supports - serving students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders & students with Autism. 2 years of college or hold a current Paraprofessional License; assists teacher with students in class; provides individualized academic assistance to students; helps teacher with children who lack self-help skills. WORK SCHEDULE: 8-hour day, 190 days per year BENEFITS: Major medical-hospitalization insurance; teacher retirement; paid sick leave; school holidays off. Sites in Brunswick, Kingsland, and Hinesville. Positions available at the Kingsland site. First District RESA/Coastal Academy Program requires a criminal background check on all employees. The GNETS mission is to support the local school systems’ continuum of services by providing comprehensive special education services and therapeutic support to students with severe emotional and behavioral disorders and students with Autism. The programs provide comprehensive educational and therapeutic support services to students who might otherwise require residential or other more restrictive placements due to the severity of one or more of the characteristics of the disability category of emotional and behavioral disorders (EBD).
