Stamford Health have an excellent opportunity to practice clinical psychiatry as well as provide multidisciplinary team leadership.  The UNIT CHIEF OF PSYCHIATRY will work collaboratively with the Department Chair and Program Director of Behavioral Health, participates in the medical education of students and provides supervision to the medical staff and Physician Assistant on the unit, as well as provides education, supervision and guidance to other staff.  The Unit Chief will also provide Psychiatric Liaison services to patients in the ED and general hospital floors.

Required Skills Required Experience

• CT MD License and DEA registration required.
• Board Certified in General Psychiatry.
• Prior psychiatry inpatient work experience sufficient to effectively carry out the essential job responsibilities.
• a mininum of 2 years of post-residency experience
• Demonstrate excellence in providing clinical care and staff leadership in an inpatient setting
• Geriatric psychiatry/Psychosomatic Medicine Fellowship training and bilingual English/Spanish language are a plus

• 3 or more years of experience working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities
