    The IDEMIA UX TEAM is committed to making IDEMIA’s products easy to use and accessible to people with a wide variety of needs.

     

    As an ACCESSIBILITY SPECIALIST, you will drive accessibility across all IDEMIA NA products and platforms. You will work with closely with our cross-functional teams to ensure our products are accessible and easy to use for people with disabilities or special needs.

     

    Required Skills

    • Define policies and guidelines
    • Evaluate and provide accessible solutions
    • Perform audits, report on findings, and develop solutions that align with company policies, standards, and dynamic coding
    • Identify areas of improvement for accessibility, define technical requirements, and work with engineering partners, product managers, and product designers to deliver successful solutions
    • Evangelize accessibility in a fast-moving organization
    • Define, document, and manage an Accessibility roadmap that will take Idemia's products accessibility beyond just compliance
    • Complete and maintain VPAT’s

    Required Experience

    • BA/BS degree in HCI, Design, Computer Science, Information Sciences or formal training/certifications related fields. Also evaluating equivalent practical experience.
    • Knowledge of how people with a variety of disabilities use assistive technologies (e.g., screen reader, screen magnifier, keyboard-only access) and the ability to analyze the impact of a barrier to accessibility.
    • Experience with accessibility testing and auditing of desktop, mobile, or web front-end applications.
    • Strong understanding of accessibility standards such as the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1
    • Knowledge of disability law including but not limited to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508, and Affordable Care Act Section 1557
    • Experience with assistive technology such as ZoomText, JAWS, VoiceOver or NVDA screen reader
    • Effective interpersonal, communication, negotiation and collaboration skills and the ability to evangelize accessibility with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Experience with accessibility testing and auditing of desktop, mobile, or web front-end applications.
    • Must be comfortable with 30–50% travel to and from office

     

     

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    • Experience with performing usability research with users with disabilities
    • Hands-On experience managing and driving accessibility compliance projects to completion
    • Experience in educating and training other people about accessibility
    • Strong understanding of current and upcoming trends in digital accessibility, policy, best practices, and universal design. 
    • Applicants for employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization which does not require now or in the future sponsorship by the employer for a visa.
