  • Responsibilities

    The Lead Agent Cargo is responsible for aspects of the Agent Cargo position (as described below) as well as the following:  The maintenance of a satisfactory quantity and quality of work by assigned personnel, explaining and demonstrating work procedures and methods including safety, apportioning and scheduling assigned work, observing and analyzing the methods used and the results achieved, bring problems to the attention of management and assist management in the utilization of tools, equipment, and materials.  Perform work according to Company rules and regulations.

    Required Skills

    Excellent written and oral communication skills.

     

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.

     

    Read and interpret printed instructions; write legibly to complete forms/paperwork as required.

     

    Ability to work with different levels of management in communicating issues.

     

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

     

    Ability to handle the stress of a fast-paced eight hour shift.

     

    Ability to learn PC skills and apply knowledge.

     

    Ability to concentrate on detail.

     

    Minimum typing speed of 30 WPM.

     

    Reports to work on a regular and timely basis.

     

    Ability to lift 70 lbs.  No exceptions.

     

    Ability to drive all cargo handling equipment.

     

    Ability to step up to an above ground level.

     

    Retrieve import/deliver export documents to and from aircraft.

     

    Required Experience

    High school diploma or GED preferred.  Must have a valid driver's license and Port Authority or Airport Authority (if applicable) permit to use ramp side service roads.  Previous lead experience helpful.  Knowledge of Worldwide Flight Services Rules and Regulations helpful.  Knowledge of company operations.  Must  be at least 18 years of age if position requires driving cargo handling equipment. Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends (i.e. Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays and days off. Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
