  • Responsibilities

    Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, The HR Business Partner is responsible for implementing, and occasionally leading, functions relating to the Company's Human Resources programs and projects, including employee relations, recruiting/retention, policies/procedures, compensation, performance management, safety and benefits/wellness. 

    • Provides human resources-related customer service to employees, management, vendors and external contacts via telephone, written correspondence and face-to-face communication; interactions can include employee concerns, data requests, verifications of employment, unemployment hearings, or issue resolution.
    • Enforces company polices/procedures and ensures compliance with Federal and state regulations.
    • Addresses confidential employee relations issues, including corrective action and terminations.
    • Builds and maintains relationships with employees and managers at all levels of the organization.
    • Administers compensation programs, including survey participation, data analysis, program maintenance.
    • Administers benefits programs including addressing employee inquiries, coordinating annual open enrollment, serving as liaison between online administrator and employees.
    • Participates in internal and/or external recruiting, including candidate screening, interviewing, reference checks, hiring and onboarding.
    • Coordinates payroll processes with Accounting using payroll software; verifies employee records for weekly payroll, maintains garnishments and other deduction requests (child support orders, uniforms, etc.) validates taxes, conducts year-end W-2 verification.
    • Coordinates employee new-hire, change and termination processes, including I-9 administration, tax processing, benefits enrollment/deactivation, 401k account activation/termination.
    • Generates, analyzes and distributes data reports to Human Resources, Company management and external contacts on a daily/weekly/annual/ad-hoc basis.
    • Contributes to continuous improvement and/or cost savings initiatives in department.
    • Performs additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management.

     

    Required Skills

    • Bachelor’s Degree required
    • 2-5 years of experience working in HR at a MANUFACTURING FACILITY required
    • Computer skills to include: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
    • Experience working in Human Resources Information Systems
