Participate as a team member for Software Airworthiness and Safety for an unmanned aerial system. Perform evaluation of software requirements, design, code, and testing. Principal duties and responsibilities include.
- Reviews of system and software requirements
- Software design analysis
- Verification of development documentation to assess compliance with software airworthiness and safety qualification standards
- Review software source code, code generation processes and models, and build procedures for compliance with software airworthiness and safety qualification standards
- Coordinate directly with developer and program leadership on improving software safety and mitigating program risks
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Software evaluation and IV&V analysis experience
- Familiarity with modern software languages
- Experience with System Safety and Software Safety requirements
- Knowledge of software development processes
Required Skills
- Current DoD security Clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or other related discipline
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in software development, testing, or software/ safety evaluation (Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or other technical discipline can substitute for 2 years of experience)
