    SUMMARY

     

    This position is responsible for all aspects of the payroll process within the Tatitlek Corporation and its subsidiaries, including but not limited: research and resolve pay issue with employees, , streamline and automate process to ensure efficiencies through growth, regulatory reporting and compliance, payroll processing including but not limited to, electronic, computer and paper file maintenance, payroll transmission, payroll balancing, payroll interface with Accounting and Human Resources, necessary reporting and problem solving.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

     

    • Computes and disburses wages, deductions, taxes and other withholdings for companies and multiple states. 
    • Calculate and process special checks, review, edit and make corrections and adjustments as needed. 
    • Compiles, prepares and maintains payroll reports. 
    • Review hours worked by examination of time cards, time sheets, or electronic media. May also be responsible for calculation of over time, incentive pay, shift differential, etc.  Process and review deductions for authorized and mandatory deductions. 
    • Process weekly and bi-weekly payrolls for multiple states and locations. 
    • Provide customer service to employees concerning payroll systems. 
    • Continually learn new process system and changes in wage and tax laws. 
    • Prepare certain monthly and quarterly federal and state tax reports. 
    • Other duties as assigned.

     

     

    QUALIFICATIONS 

     

    • Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalency plus a minimum of 4 years payroll work experience required.
    • Proficient or advanced skills utilizing Microsoft Excel & Word programs are required.
    • Experience with Costpoint a plus.

    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
    • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. 
    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. 
    • Ability to work in a stressful position with severe time deadlines without undue strain. 
    • Ability to interface with many different personalities without apparent conflict. 
    • The successful applicant will possess a working knowledge of payroll regulations: both state and federal.

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

     

     

    The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to work in an office setting, sit for long periods of time, talk on the telephone, work on a computer for extended periods of time, and lift and carry up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or finance from an accredited college or university
    • 3 years of experience in professional budget administration or fiscal analysis
    • Secret Clearance

    • Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Strong willingness to learn new technology
    • Experience reconciling commercial credit cards
    • Government Contracting Experience
