The Director of Insurance and Annuity Sales is primarily responsible for leading the strategy, implementation and delivery of advanced insurance and annuity sales support throughout the WRI Sales Team. This individual provides proactive mentoring and sales support to all Waddell & Reed Advisors, via phone and face to face, helping drive insurance and annuity sales throughout the Firm’s advisor sales force. This role will be providing proactive oversight of the daily sales, product training and the mentoring of the WRI Sales Team related to all insurance and annuity products. The individual should possess strong sales, analytical and technical skills, advanced knowledge of the insurance and annuity space, how it fits into the financial plan. These skills must be combined with a unique ability to lead and motivate others, communicate and collaborate effectively with advisors in a sales environment. In addition, the individual must be able to effectively teach, train and mentor advisors throughout the entire insurance and annuity sales process.
