This role requires an individual who takes pleasure in seeing the fruition of a finished building project - much like watching an episode of HGTV! They should have excellent communication skills as well as comprehension of design. Attention to detail is a must. They must possess the capacity to arrange follow ordering systems, processes, and follow through, while simultaneously monitoring budget costs and keeping abreast of new trends in construction. Being able to tour properties and meet with team members/vendors to set out a plan of action is indispensable. A huge portion of their time will be spent in the office collaborating with the team on assigning deliveries. Additionally, an understanding of cabinet design and CAD would be an advantage. Must also be willing to stage houses. Responsibilities: • Planning and scheduling, by having the correct materials on site before needed • Estimating the costs of materials for a project • Quality control and quality assurance for design functions • Coordinating the creation of documents including sketches and drafts • Monitoring the project budget and spending • Overseeing logistics and transportation of materials • Ordering construction materials and setting up delivery of items • Consulting with the project manager • Design experience preferred • Exceptional communication skills • Assist in design choices/finishes for homes • Technology experience Qualifications: • Minimum 2 years of design experience preferred • Knowledge of design software is a plus • Team player • Effective communication skills • Self-motivated • Time Management skills Compensation: $15 - $20 hourly
