Seasonal (Grape Harvest) Truck Driver $22+ per hour DOE Starting August 20, 2021 Truck Drivers Are you a college student looking to earn some extra spending money? We are looking for you? Work part-time, M-Saturday, flexible morning hours, driving a bobtail truck hauling our grapes from the vineyards to the winery. We will train you to operate forklift and provide you with all the equipment and gear you will need. Coastal Vineyard Care Associates has several current openings for truck drivers. Supporting ranches throughout our Vineyard Operations, drivers will be transporting equipment and hauling grapes throughout the Central Coast. Drivers are asked to assist with the loading and unloading of cargo as needed. This position requires the ability to work varying schedule including days, nights and, on Saturdays (during the busy harvest season). August 20 - Approx. November 1st. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Support the vineyard & winery during the annual harvest; operate a truck to transport the grapes in gondolas (tub trailers) or equipment on a low-boy trailer; and may also include the use of hand tools and straps in the loading & unloading process. - Driver must collect, fill out and organize all required paperwork each day. - Driver will be responsible to comply with all DOT, State Regulations, and Company Safety and Compliance Policies. - Operate trucks and related vehicles/equipment in a safe, courteous manner. - Check the status of all critical parts of vehicle using the drivers check off list daily. This check includes the operating conditions of the brakes, turn signals and lights. - Must have a valid Class C license Qualifications: - Motor Vehicle Report must be in good standing. - Bilingual (preferred) - Clean drug screening DOT test - Prior experience operating trucks, preferably in the wine industry performing similar of type work. - Prior forklift experience a definite plus. - Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 25 lbs. on a frequent basis. - Requires sitting for extended periods of time and standing and walking on a frequent basis. Compensation - Compensation starts at $22/hr+, dependent on experience and qualifications - Cell phone is also offered - Seasonal position Late August through October 2021
