COATES FIELD SERVICE, INC. is seeking an experienced RIGHT OF WAY PROGRAM MANAGER for a position located in our client's office in ROCHESTER, NY.
The Program Manager is responsible for leading large complex land, lease, and right of way acquisition projects from inception through execution and is tasked with planning, implementing, and managing the real estate components of the project including all resources assigned. Responsibilities include the management of project team members in the acquisition of land rights, licenses, leases, permits, and other real estate rights necessary for the construction, operation, and maintenance of transmission lines and/or distribution facilities.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creates and sets clear and attainable goals for their team and manages team performance
- Works with the client to establish policies and procedures and ensures that the project team adheres to established standards
- Tracks the project quality, timeliness, and performance against project goals, work plans, and schedules
- Regularly participates in project and client meetings presenting project information
- Communicates regularly with project team members, client, and consultants assigned to the project
- Prepares cost estimates, budgets, project schedules, and issues periodic project reports indicating the status and cost of the managed projects
- Provides invoicing and project forecasting in the format and frequency required by the client.
- Monitors purchase orders and updates estimates and budgets as needed
- Reviews the current and future resource requirements and proactively adjusts staffing levels to optimize efficiencies while maintaining schedules
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- PROJECT MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATION (PMP)
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- Right of way and land acquisition, engineering construction, and/or energy industry experience (5 – 7 years)
- Ability and willingness to travel within New York, Maine, and Connecticut
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Experience supervising and leading right of way project teams located at various locations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to utilize MS Project and MS Excel in support of project goals (i.e., communicating project status, resource tracking, scheduling, planning, etc.)
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and Microsoft Teams
- Public presentation skills and ability to summarize project status when meeting with project stakeholders
- Understanding of quality assurance processes
