Tax Accountant Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or relevant field.
• 0-2 years’ experience as a Tax Accountant or similar role, the CPA is a plus.
• Good understanding of MS Office and accounting software.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting vs. taxation different treatment.
• International taxation/tax planning working experience is preferred but not required.

Overview

• Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual sales and user tax returns, filing annual report for each company as State requires, prepare tax payments, necessary paperwork, identifying tax savings, and analyzing tax issues.
• Recommends tax strategies by researching federal, state, and local taxation issues.
• Assess and research difficult tax issues to identify solutions.
• Evaluate tax regulations and suggest policies that diminish tax burden.
• Determine tax savings and recommend strategies to improve profits.
• Identifies profitability of potential mergers and acquisitions by analyzing tax information; calculating key ratios; identifying areas of tax savings.
• Offer support and guidance during audits, assist outside tax consultant work if needed.
• Ensure comply with regulations by forwarding required information to federal, state, and local
• authorities.

Manage and maintain the company’s tax database.

Manage the vendor info, and filing 1099 annual report.

Keep track of industry trends and changes related to taxes.

Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
