DETAILS OF THE POSITION

We are seeking a homeschool teacher for the 2020 - 2021 school year for a family in Allen with a Kindergartener through second grader. The teacher will provide instruction for the four core subjects (math, reading/ELA, science, and social studies). The students will complete assignments independently, outside of instructional hours, and the teacher will need to review completed assignments during each scheduled session to monitor progress.

Instruction will take place at the client's home beginning as soon as possible for 30 to 40 hours per week with sessions beginning 8:00 AM.

Instructional materials and curricula will be provided for the teacher, as well as support from the director as needed. This is an independent contractor position, and other assignments will be offered to the teacher as they become available.

Interviews will be conducted online via video conferencing.

REQUIREMENTS

• Available to start ASAP and commit to teaching the full school year
• Available to interview via video conferencing
• Available Monday - Friday 8:00 - 3:00
• Bachelor's degree
• Teaching certificate and/or experience as the teacher of record in a public or private school for at least one year
• Elementary teaching experience preferred
• Reliable transportation
• Willing to submit to a background check

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 to 25.00 per hour
