    Do you enjoy creating content that is both fun and educational? Do you want to be a key addition to our Education team and help us create the world’s best computer science education experience?

    Code Ninjas, the largest fastest growing coding franchise in the nation, is seeking a full-time Curriculum Developer to design activities that introduce children (ages 5-14) to coding in various formats, and help brainstorm, collaborate, create, and iterate on curriculum.

    Responsibilities

    · Develop computer science and coding curriculum content for ages 5-14.

    · Pilot curricula, observe kids in our centers, and provide feedback to the Education Team.

    · Collaborate with Code Ninjas education team on creating world-class coding curriculum including tools such as micro:bit, Scratch, Minecraft, and LEGO.

    · Work with technology and design teams on learning platform development.

    · Submit deliverables such as camp presentations, activity instructions, and instructional videos in a timely manner.

    · Plan and direct education programs such as scaled, progressive courses, summer camps, and clubs.

    · Improve effectiveness of content through program assessments and retention rates.

    Minimum Qualifications

    · Bachelor’s degree in Education, Computer Science, or similar field.

    3-5 years teaching and/or developing curriculum for elementary and/or middle school aged children in computer science.

    1-3 years teaching and/or developing curriculum for Block-based coding, JavaScript, or similar.

    1-3 years in instructional design and methodologies, curriculum development and Learning Management Systems.

    Highly collaborative.

    Ability to manage a single, large project with multiple dependencies.

    Excellent communication skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Master’s degree in Education, Computer Science, or similar field.

    2+ years as a computer science curriculum developer.

    1-2 years working with after school programs.

    Understanding of constructionism and current research-based practices in Computer Science Education.

    Strong understanding of Computer Science standards and concepts for kids ages 5-14.

    Job will be based out of our brand-new headquarters in Houston, TX area (Pearland)Our team is current working from home due to COVID. Relocation assistance provided.

    Full time, salaried position. Health, Dental, Vision, 401k and unlimited PTO.
