Who are we?

Code Ninjas is the nation’s fastest-growing kids coding franchise. In our center, kids ages 5-14 learn to code in a fun, non-intimidating way – by playing and building video games they love. We foster each child’s different abilities and interests. Learning through play is what we do!

Code Ninjas Newport Beach is our brand new teaching center with a state-of-the-art facility located in the Westside Costa Mesa neighborhood.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Coding & STEM Tutor (a.k.a. Code Sensei) to provide a fun and safe learning environment for children. This individual oversees the day-to-day coaching and student engagement.

Do you have leadership and mentoring skills?

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

Learn and teach Code Ninjas’ game-based curriculum

Work with our “ninjas” to help them achieve their daily goals

Create an environment where our ninjas can express themselves and feel comfortable

Assist with various programs and events we offer at Code Ninjas

Facilitate and develop STEM activities that are fun, but also educational

Follow opening/closing and cleaning duties daily

Qualifications:

Experience working with children ages 5 and up

Computer programming experience (1 year – Required)

Enthusiastic about working with kids; mentoring and teaching

Patient, kind, and understanding

Works well with others; collaborates and takes pride in their work

Upbeat and fun individual with a passion for technology and learning

Preferred – some experience in Robotics, Minecraft, Scratch or Roblox

Preferred – some knowledge of Zoom

Soft Skills

Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
