    AFTER SCHOOL CODING INSTRUCTOR

    LOCATION: Anaheim (In-person) HOURS: Hours vary between 1 - 4:30pm DURATION: Ongoing opportunities throughout the year JOB TYPE: Part-time PAY: $50 per class

    The After School Coding Instructor provides an unique opportunity to shape the future of how our children learn and prepare for a professional future driven by technology. We have a fully designed curriculum for students and a comprehensive training system for new Code To The Future team members, so no extensive prior knowledge of coding is required (we can teach you!).

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead after-school class instruction
    • Utilize an accessible block-based coding language that kids find easy and fun
    • Perform administrative and other tasks related to your assigned classes
    • Maintain high expectations for student behavior
    • Maintain open lines of communication with staff, parents, and area manager
    • Be a role model to students and arrive every day with a professional, upbeat, and positive attitude

    EXPERIENCE LEVEL

    • College Student / Entry Level

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum age of 18 or older with valid driver's license
    • Must have reliable car and cell phone
    • Interest in K-6 education and STEM related fields 
    • Some prior experience working with elementary or middle school students preferred
    • Strong communication and presentation skills
    • Organized, methodical, and detail-oriented
    • Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
    • Self-starter and quick learner with a passion for improving education through technology
    • Good character, diligent work habits, and a positive attitude 
    • Excellent interpersonal skills - dynamic, enthusiastic, upbeat individual who connects well with others
