    ED TECH CURRICULUM DEVELOPER & COACH

    LOCATION: In-person (Greater Los Angeles Area) EMPLOYMENT: Full-time

    Code To The Future is America's leading Solution for K-12 Computer Science Immersion Schools. This is an incredible opportunity for someone with a passion for K-12 education to bring their interests for technology into the classroom. You will partner with educators, teaching them cutting-edge practices to prepare them to integrate technology into their classroom curriculum by way of interactive stories, games, and animations. You will coach and empower educators to use technology to facilitate a transformative learning experience for their students.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO:

    • Lead Professional Development trainings for educators

    • Identify learning objectives for educators based on terms of individual school's CS Immersion roadmap

    • Lead the technology integration process for Code To The Future curriculum materials

    • Responsible for educational/curriculum trainings and measuring learner performance

    • Utilize technical learning solutions including online tutorials technical labs, audio and video assets, simulations, instructor led and virtual training to coach educators

    • Provide positive, ongoing, open communication and support to your team of educators

    • Assess your educators' development needs, research, and customize your training program(s) based on those needs; ensure established educational standards of Code to the Future are clearly communicated and implemented

    • Provide guidance to aid educators to problem solve for their students' academic needs

    • Conduct regular quality assurance checks at the individual educator, classroom, and site level to make recommendations for improvement

    • Participate in our ongoing Coach Development Program; may include monthly/quarterly Q&A sessions with the Training Manager, technical assessments, product updates, and remote or in-person workshops to help you maintain and develop your core technical competencies

    • Review, revise, and edit existing curriculum

    • Work as a team to enhance existing forward facing technical resources

    • Develop new curriculum aligned with current national content standards to continually improve our solution offering

    • Develop on-demand resources throughout the year for site customization

    • Operate as a brand ambassador for Code To The Future by offering a world-class experience for the educators you support

    • Provide leadership in strengthening internal communications with team members at all levels throughout the organization; create and promote a positive and supportive work environment

    • Champion our mission and core values internally and externally

    DESIRED BACKGROUND AND SKILLS:

    • BA/BS degree required; Master's degree in relevant field is a plus

    • 1+ years of experience in designing, developing and delivering training curriculum a plus

    • Ability to travel a plus

    • Knowledge of adult and child learning methodologies and their application in a K-12 education learning environment

    • Collegiality to build rapport and professional collaboration across the organization

    • Excellent customer service and communication skills (interpersonal, presentation, facilitation, written) that reflect sensitivity to your audience

    • Excellent time management and organizational skills

    • Flexibility and professionalism to respond productively to unexpected occurrences in working with education professionals and students

    • Solid understanding and operation of technology including software, web-based applications, various operating systems, computer gaming and tablets/mobile devices

    • Commitment to being a relationship builder and team player

    • Commitment to self-motivation, adaptability, process orientation and ownership/accountability

    • Ability to conduct business in a professional manner; you work with integrity, humility, and emotional maturity

    • Physical requirements: An employee in this position may be required to occasionally lift, move and/or set-up stacks of documents such as instructional materials, computers (desktop/laptops/tablets), projectors, flip charts and other materials used for Educator Professional Development
