    Job Title: CPA Accountant

    Location: Middlesex, NJ

    Salary: $45K – 50K annually

    The Staff Accountant will be responsible for providing support for the Accounts Receivable/Billing cycle and Purchasing/Accounts Payable processes.

    Responsibilities & Essential Functions: General Accounting

    Aid the Controller in performing the month-end closing process, including preparation of journal entries, and research and analysis.

    Prepare balance sheet reconciliations of certain accounts as assigned.

    Work closely with the Controller to design, and update business processes to streamline business processes; leverage technology capabilities where possible.

    Customer invoicing

    Track and manage sales orders including backorders; confirm all documents are organized, and ready for billing.

    Custom built products.

    Work closely with sales team to ensure that build specifications match original sales order.

    Confirm pricing matches original sales order.

    Accounts Payable

    Track and manage incoming vendor invoices.

    Review invoices to confirm accuracy, and receipt of goods, match inventory receipts against Purchase orders. Update PO status in ERP system (Robocom).

    Track and manage back-orders.

    Track and manage freight; review for accuracy and prepare for payment.

    Determine proper account coding for invoices, enter into ERP (Robocom)and submit to the Controller for payment processing.

    General Clerical Functions

    Filing

    Incoming-Outgoing Mail

    Ordering supplies for office.

    Answering, transferring incoming calls.

    Other duties as assigned.

    Actively participate in weekly Finance and Accounting staff meetings.

    Education, Experience and Skill Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field preferred.

    Minimum of 3 years’ experience with accounting operations, including accounts receivable, and accounts payable.

    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

    Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills.

    Must have high integrity and adaptability.

    Strong Excel and computer skills

    Maintain confidentiality of financial information, investment decisions, or any other tasks assigned by the organization.
