    Job Summary

    As a bellman at The Coeur d'Alene Resort you will assist with luggage deliveries, and other various needs of our hotel guests. This is done while working closely with our other departments at the resort. Valet objectives include greeting guests parking and retrieving vehicles keeping the valet floor organized, all while working safely and protecting guest's possessions. As bellman/valets we are the first and last people our guests encounters, so making a lasting impression is a must.

    Essential Functions

    • Park and retrieve cars
    • Greet guests in a courteous manner
    • The person in this position frequently communicates with guests and staff who have general inquiries about parking, parking locations, and customer service inquires.
    • Manage the valet floor
    • Organize vehicles
    • Manage parking area (barricades, directing traffic, calling cabs, and etc.)
    • Hand out claim tickets
    • Manage keys
    • Do basic math without use of a calculator
    • Assist immediate team members with other duties as assigned.

    Job Requirements

    • Must have a valid driver's license with no more than two traffic citations.
    • Must be able to lift 40-75 ponds, 50-80 times a day.
    • Must be able to work in sub-freezing conditions as well as 100°
    • Must be able to run stairs and ride an elevator.
    • This job requires good reading and writing skills.
    • Must have good corrected vision and hearing.
    • Good communication skills with both guests and team members.
    • Must be in good physical condition, as the job requires climbing stairs, reaching, kneeling, lifting, bending and stretching.
    • Possess a positive, enthusiastic attitude.
    • Provide efficient, courteous service to our Guests.

    • Full Time Employees are offered these benefits first of the month following 60 days of employment
    • Must maintain a minimum of 30 hours per week or more.
    • Variable hour team members could be eligible12 months after their date of hire, with supervisor approval, so long as they have averaged 30+ hours per week throughout their first year.

    401K Plan:

    • Team members are eligible to participate at the age of 21 or greater and at the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment.
    • 2% match with a 4% contribution from the team member.

    PTO :

    • 6 months gets 7 PTO days - 728 hours (average 28 hours per week)
    • 1 year gets 10 PTO days - 1,456 hours (average 28 hours per week)
    • 2-4 years gets 15 PTO days - 1,456 hours (average 28 hours per week)
    • 5+ years gets 20 PTO days - 1,200 hours (average 23 hours per week)

    Holiday Pay:

    • Hourly team members who work on Thanksgiving and Christmas will be paid their wage at time and a half.
