Job Description:
Position Overview: The Food Runner at Dockside at the Coeur d'Alene Resort plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests. This position involves efficiently delivering food from the kitchen to the dining area, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Orders: Transport food orders from the kitchen to the appropriate tables in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist Servers: Support servers by delivering food items, refilling beverages, and providing additional items as needed.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all dishes are delivered according to restaurant standards, checking for accuracy and presentation.
- Customer Service: Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including clearing tables, resetting them for new guests, and keeping the service areas tidy.
- Communication: Relay any guest feedback or issues to servers and kitchen staff to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations and a cohesive team environment.
- Adhere to Safety Standards: Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment for guests and staff.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and carry heavy trays for extended periods.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Customer Focused: Passion for providing excellent customer service and enhancing the guest dining experience.
- Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

- Full Time Employees are offered these benefits first of the month following 60 days of employment
- Must maintain a minimum of 30 hours per week or more.
- Variable hour team members could be eligible 12 months after their date of hire, with supervisor approval, so long as they have averaged 30+ hours per week throughout their first year.
401K Plan:
- Team members are eligible to participate at the age of 21 or greater and at the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment.
- 50% match up to a 4% contribution from the team member.
PTO :
- 6 months gets 7 PTO days - 728 hours (average 28 hours per week)
- 1 year gets 10 PTO days - 1,456 hours (average 28 hours per week)
- 2-4 years gets 15 PTO days - 1,456 hours (average 28 hours per week)
- 5+ years gets 20 PTO days - 1,200 hours (average 23 hours per week)
Holiday Pay:
- Hourly team members who work on Thanksgiving and Christmas will be paid their wage at time and a half.
