Job Description

Coffman Engineers is seeking a CIVIL DESIGNER with four to seven years of experience in civil engineering/land development, including site layouts, grading plans, stormwater management facilities, water quality best management practices, and site utility design, to join our San Diego office. The successful candidate will have a desire to work and grow with a multidisciplinary engineering team, experience that ranges from preliminary design through construction.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Technical or Associate degree in engineering or related sciences preferred
• 4-7 years of experience in drafting and design for civil site improvements
• Possess advanced CAD, layout, and AutoCAD Civil 3D skills, including surfaces, pipe networks, profiles, etc.
• Technical experience with preparation of public improvement and grading plans, site grading, and earthwork calculations preferred
• Experience coordinating with a multi-discipline design team
• Working with counterparts in other offices to share workload when required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent time management skills
• A positive, can-do attitude

EXPECTED HOURLY WAGE OF $35 - $40.
