Job Description

The Los Angeles and Orange County offices of Coffman Engineers are looking for the right person to fill the unique, multi-faceted role of MARKETING COORDINATOR. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the Architectural/Engineering/Construction industry and will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. We are looking for a fun, passionate professional who desires to be part of a growing team. The right candidate could potentially work from either the Encino, Downtown LA, or Newport offices. The preferred location will be discussed during the interview process. Coffman may also allow some work from home flexibility.

DUTIES AND SKILLS:

• Coordinate and produce proposals, SOQs, and responses to RFQ/RFPs.
• Develop and maintain marketing materials, information systems, tracking systems, and records.
• Open, monitor, and maintain proposals and leads in our CRM software.
• Identify specific client and project opportunities through monitoring of websites (PlanetBids, sam.gov, IMS, etc.) and other sources of RFQ/RFP advertisements.
• Suggest and solicit ideas for social media posts (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.) and e-blasts (Mail-Chimp, Eventbrite, etc.).
• Coordinate current and relevant website content.
• Submit press releases that have been created to local area publications.
• Help develop and organize materials for formal presentations (slides, storyboards, etc.).
• Prepare visual graphics for proposals, presentations, and invitations for business meetings.
• Maintain professional resumes of all applicable firm personnel.
• Develop and maintain detailed project sheets for active and completed projects.
• Compile materials to support local BD efforts, such as brochures, SOQs, and cutsheets.
• Work with our BD team to maintain list and schedules of annual industry award programs.
• Coordinate industry award submittals.

Qualifications

• 3 – 5 years of marketing experience preferred in the A/E/C industry.
• A proficiency with MS Office 365 programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote, and PowerPoint), Adobe CC (InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat), and database environments.
• An understanding of A/E/C industry terminology and processes.
• A sense of urgency and persistence coupled with a positive, can-do attitude.
• The ability to serve as a leader and a supportive team member, depending on the situation.
• The client-focused ability to communicate effectively and provide a high level of attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal skills and the flexibility to maintain a large scope of responsibilities.
• The ability to stay highly organized while taking direction and working independently.
