Job Description

Coffman Engineers has an immediate need for an enthusiastic, innovative, and quality-oriented Mechanical Engineer with a background in HVAC consulting engineering to join our group as a long-term member of our highly-respected team.  This position offers the opportunity to work on impactful and complex projects primarily in healthcare, laboratory, Department of Defense, and higher education. 

We are looking for someone who works effectively with all personality types, interested in developing close relationships with our great clients, and who desires to grow professionally and stay involved in the activities and exciting trends in the industry. The position will involve a mix of design work for construction documents, construction support, and new project scoping and proposal writing.  We work in tight-knit teams that support each other and are managed with a healthy work-life balance that is focused on development and caring for the whole person. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering or related field
• Registration as a P.E. required
• Minimum 10+ years in consulting engineering field
• Minimum 7 years of experience in HVAC and plumbing engineering required
• 3 years can be non-engineering related HVAC and plumbing work
• Active industry involvement preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
