The educational trainer and event assistant position will report to the Education Program Manager under the Vice President for Communications and Engagement. This individual will be an experienced educational or corporate trainer or teacher, who can learn the 15-40 Connection training and represent the organization in various educational environments. 15-40 Connection seeks a confident trainer who can communicate effectively to students, administrators, teachers, and first responders, among others. The enthusiastic trainer will assist in scheduling trainings and per-diem trainers, confirm logistics for programs, capture feedback and assessments. He or she will assist with the preparation of presentations and educational materials. (75%)
In addition to the role of trainer, this individual will assist in a variety of activities that support our signature friend-raising and fund-raising events. These activities might include outreach to past donors for raffle and gift bag items, and the solicitation of other gifts-in-kind. Our small organization seeks an energetic individual eager to jump into meaningful work, roll up his or her sleeves, and help us to teach people how to detect cancer early through education and advocacy, and by supporting donor events. Responsibilities:
Present training and education to schools, firehouses, and various other audiences
Schedule trainings and per-diem trainers
Confirm logistics for upcoming programs
Draft outreach pitches
Prepare materials for trainings and events
Report on presentations (# attendees, feedback, survey results) and enter into Salesforce
Assist in data collection from learning management system
Summarize data collection (survey results) to discover reportable trends/statistics
Follow-up with clients to collect quotes
Suggest story ideas and follow up from relationships developed on the road
Facilitate connections between potential survivor panelists and programs
Follow up on leads/contacts
Inventory and re-order presentation supplies as needed
Support event planning and execution
Solicit gifts in kind for events
Requirements:
Organized, confident presenter and public speaker. Comfortable with people, strong interpersonal skills. Confident using presentation technology. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities. Passionate about our mission. Occasional night and weekend work required. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and Google products preferred.
