    Digital Marketing Assistant/Event Coordinator

    Conference/event attendance is a major component of our marketing effort at Cogitate! Cogitate is seeking a digitally savvy Event Manager to join our Marketing Team. The right individual has experience organizing a sales team’s B2B conference attendance at industry events. We'd like to hear from you if you have strong writing skills and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment!

    Essential Duties

    Our next Event Manager will own conference management from start to finish – from registration, booth placement and design, to collateral and swag selection and overall digital promotion. This will include both social media and email campaigns. During downtime between events, your social media and writing skills will be put to work supporting our Marketing Team’s lead nurturing and lead generation campaigns.

    • Oversee the conference calendar in conjunction with the EVP of Sales.
    • Manage logistical planning efforts for P&C insurance industry conferences (TMPAA, WSIA, NAMIC, ITC, and more).
    • Handle all attendee logistics, pre-conference meeting materials, and correspondence with conference organizers.
    • Prepare attendee conference materials for large and small-scale events. Develop and review all meeting materials, such as agendas, run-of-show documents, conference and event/meeting materials, sponsorship and presentation opportunities and receipt of participant lists
    • Coordinate booth design, arrange space, literature, hotels, equipment rental, and set-up and dismantling of the exhibit
    • Assist in developing event marketing strategies and communications for attendees via LinkedIn posts and email campaigns using HubSpot
    • Create and update tasks in Asana on an ongoing basis

    Required Experience and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree required
    • 3-5 years professional experience organizing and executing in-person event attendance and exhibiting
    • Excellent writing, conceptual, and copy-editing skills,
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Strong planning and time management skills,
    • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills,
    • Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to with a virtual team
    • Flexible and adaptable, able to work under tight timelines,
    • MS Office proficiency (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
    • HubSpot skills a bonus
