    The Chief Officer of Science and Innovation will be responsible for leading the development and execution of our artificial intelligence (AI) strategy and overseeing the development and management of our software technology platform and products from initial design through commercial distribution under FDA and other regulatory requirements. Reporting to the CEO will work closely with the executive leadership team to ensure that our technology aligns with our business goals and objectives. You will also be responsible for leading and mentoring our engineering and data science teams, driving innovation and continuous improvement, and managing budgets and resources.

    Key Responsibilities: ● Lead the development and execution of our data science strategies ● Oversee the development and management of our software technology platforms and products from initial design through commercial distribution under FDA and other regulatory requirements, and usage flow when deployed to market. ● Direct the development and management of the backend components of the products and devices ● Collaborate with the product team to support the design requirements for products and devices ● Collaborate with the CEO and executive leadership team to ensure alignment with business goals ● Collaborate with the medical team on clinical trial design and scientific evidence generation ● Ensure that processes meet expectations of the FDA, ISO, federal, state and local privacy and security regulations or guidelines. ● Support creation and protection of Cognoa Intellectual Property ● Lead and mentor engineering and data science teams. ● Drive innovation and continuous improvement ● Engage with external stakeholders to support adoption and integration ● Manage budgets and resources

    Qualifications: ● Doctorate degree or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering, or a related field. ● Minimum of 15 years of experience in biomedical data science, translational medicine, biomedical informatics, AI-Med or related field. ● Proven experience in design of translational tools that encompass statistical learning/artificial intelligence for medical outcomes. ● Must be expert in deep learning and in the use of computational infrastructure associated with artificial intelligence model training and deployment. Proficiency with various programming languages (Python, R, SQL, etc). ● Proven experience with clinical trials design including design and execution of statistical protocols. ● Proven experience with modern regulatory pathways for AI-med software device regulation. ● Proven experience leading major strategic, cross-functional initiatives within start-up organizations and leading large technical teams. ● Proven experience in product launch, especially in a new and emerging space within technology and healthcare. ● Excellent knowledge of Good Clinical Practices, ICH guidelines, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Good Machine Learning Practices. ● Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. ● Ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment.
