12 MONTHS LONG PROJECT WITH POSSIBILITIES OF EXTENSION
QUALIFICATIONS:
- PMI Certified or Scrum Master- 5 + yrs experience.
- Knowledge of Jira would be very helpful. PM of Learning business knowledge would be an advantage but not necessary. Exp managing complex projects, workstreams, and meeting with stake holders.
- Candidates with Technical IT backgrounds – maintaining IT development.
- PM have been a good fit in the past.
- Candidate will Plans, resources and schedules work internally and/or through external suppliers for their assigned learning portfolio of work.
- Leads the consolidation and consistent project reporting and resource forecasting (e.g. overall status/ project health, escalation of issues and decisions, interdependencies, executive summaries and communications, when resources become available to support new requests)
- Works with the client facing program owner to prioritize projects with competing priorities/launch dates within the Business unit • Facilitates regular check ins and updates with the business unit learning teams
- Project manages outsourced design and development of courses / content by vendors, as applicable.
- Simultaneously manages multiple short and long-term projects, in various stages by employing focused task management, creative problem-solving skills and tactical and strategic planning to keep projects on time and on budget.
- Owns and problem solves project issues with a hands-on approach to root cause and problem resolution while leading team to fact-based decision making.
- Develops and maintains comprehensive and detailed project plans that summarizes critical short and long-term tasks and deliverables.
- Maintains updated status reports to communicate progress, challenges, and risk mitigation; escalates issues effectively and promptly.
- Develops excellent working relationships with cross functional leadership and teams at all levels of the organization and facilitate interaction between these groups.
- Manages interactions between the divisional, client facing, Architecture and Design and Development teams
- Assists in budget development, forecasting, tracking and monitoring (spending analysis) for learning programs and projects as appropriate
- Coordinates all team efforts including team meetings
- Develops and manages project communications, agendas, presentations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The project resource will assist in helping MMD L&D to fulfill their mission and goals.
- They will demonstrate the necessary planning, leadership, influence and collaboration skills which are necessary in a complex, cross‐functional multi‐national team environment.
- The team members will interface with functional groups as necessary to ensure plans are developed, aligned, executed, tracked and reported in an effective and efficient manner.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES ASSOCIATED WITH THE PROJECT MANAGER ROLE/FUNCTION INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
- Develop an annual learning program plan for MMD sites
- Create detailed project plans for collecting Site and Functional level annual learning plans
- Collate data into regional, SM, AH, “LM” roll-up, as well as MMD level plan
- Manage and coordinate the delivery of critical departmental projects such as Site Leadership Team (SLT), Supply Chain Leader Excellence, and M1. Additional projects may be added such GSTC and Darwin.
- Provide risk identification and mitigation
- Provide support to project leaders to drive execution of project plans
- Draft and/or review MMD L&D communications, agendas, and staff blogs
- Support and potentially serve as the community steward for the MMD L&D Sync Page
- Provide Quickbase support for running routine reports for global L&D and MMD Learning Governance
- Assist in budget development, tracking and monitoring for individual projects and the overall MMD L&D program
- Assist in ensuring learning programs maintain process integrity and intent
- Serving as the “process check” to help the L&D team focus on strategic measurable needs In Addition, the role requires
- Create Detailed Execution Plan, annual learning plan, that outlines the key milestones for annual learning plans at each of 20-25 sites.
- Each site would have the same process and similar milestones but different curricula and timing.
- Plan to be populated with initial data in either excel or ppt to be able to report different views
- Various views of the annual learning plan such as but not limited to line of business view, regional view, and MMD wide view.
- Detailed project plans for critical departmental projects
- Populated risk and issue register for critical departmental projects either held individually and for the MMD L&D Program
- Populated Action and Decision log either held individually or for the MMD L&D Program
- Sponsor status update template and report outs for critical departmental projects either held individually or for the MMD L&D Program
- Project Communications and Material Generation
- Realization Indicators and Metrics
- Budget, Forecast and Spending Analysis as required
