    Job Summary:

    The Collateral Control Specialist I provides support in the servicing and collateral control functions for all branches, including UCC monitoring, tickler tracking, DMV processing and monitoring, paid loan processing and perfecting other collateral for loans. This role ensures the accuracy of collateral records, effective communication with lending personnel and management, and compliance with regulatory and company guidelines.

    Pay Range: Base Compensation is dependent upon role, experience, and skill set: Min- $20.51/hr Max- $34.18/hr

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Monitor and maintain the perfection of security interest in all collateral.
      • Ensure timely, accurate follow-up and clearance of ITI ticklers exception items including UCC's and title policies.
    • Accurately prepare paid loan checklist and verify paid loans.
      • Prepare collateral release for Deeds of Trust, UCC, life insurance, vehicle and other types of collateral.
      • Accurately process DMV Title work for vehicle liens including covering title to electronic and matching title.
      • Monitor UCC Filing mailbox and handling incoming notifications.
    • Retrieve UCC searches and review and monitor the UCC continuation ticklers. Process continuation filing six months prior to their expiration date and within the Federal and State Regulations.
      • Ensure new loans are accurately assigned collateral are listed in ITI and the supporting lien document are maintained in nCino.
    • Maintain a high level of customer service performance.
      • Ensures that customers are handled in a professional and timely manner.
    • Maintain filing of miscellaneous documents and correspondence.
    • Quarterly send paid loans to offsite storage and maintain tracking log updated.
      • Participate in special projects assigned by management, such as process improvement initiatives, system enhancements, or training new team members, to support departmental goals and continuous improvement.
      • Develop, update, and maintain accurate and up-to-date operational procedures.
    • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned

    Qualifications:

    • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year a college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in loan servicing, or real estate required; previous experience with Fiserv ITI Loan Accounting System preferred.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Strong time management and problem-solving skills demonstrated through organizing and prioritizing multiple assignments, resolving discrepancies in records, and making timely decisions under pressure.
    • Initiative and autonomy, as evidenced by proactively identifying process improvements, adapting to changing workloads, and supporting team members during staff absences or peak periods.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are utilized in collaborating with internal departments, third-party vendors, and borrowers, and in presenting audit findings or reports to management.
    • Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy, which are crucial for maintaining reliable loan and collateral records, tracking ticklers, and supporting quality control processes.

    Compliance Responsibilities:

    The employee is responsible for ensuring compliance with all aspects of job related laws and regulations and must maintain current compliance knowledge by attending compliance related training seminars and staff meetings and by reading pertinent compliance related materials.
