    About Us We are a growing property management company specializing in managing single-family homes. We currently operate in Omaha and Lincoln, with plans to expand into Iowa. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and assertive Collections Specialist to join our team.

    Job Summary

    In this role, you will be responsible for collecting delinquent rent from former tenants and recovering outstanding balances after move-out. This includes communicating with past residents, negotiating payment arrangements, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate has excellent conflict resolution and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with limited supervision. This position requires a firm yet professional approach, a high level of organization, and the ability to manage multiple accounts efficiently. Experience in property management or debt recovery is a strong plus.

    Responsibilities

    Initiate contact with former tenants to collect unpaid rent and other outstanding charges

    Review lease agreements and move-out statements to verify balances owed.

    Maintain detailed documentation of all communications and payment activity.

    Send written notices, payment reminders, and collection letters in compliance with applicable laws.

    Negotiate payment plans and settlements when appropriate.

    Collaborate with property managers to ensure proper handling of accounts.

    Recommend accounts for third-party collections or legal action if necessary.

    Assist with other property manager duties as needed.

    Qualifications

    Previous experience in collections, accounts receivable, or property management preferred.

    Strong communication and negotiation skills.

    Ability to handle difficult conversations with professionalism and tact.

    High level of organization and attention to detail.

    Familiarity with property management software is a plus.

    Knowledge of landlord-tenant laws and debt collection practices is beneficial.

    Compensation: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
