    About You:

    The Human Resource Generalist provides support to leaders and team members, covering the following areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training and development, policy implementation, recruitment, onboarding, affirmative action, and employment law compliance. Ensures consistent application of policies and procedures. Serves as a liaison between team members, HR Management, and outside organizations.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Maintains Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and has extensive knowledge of the system to properly utilize the software to its fullest potential.

    Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

    Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

    Assists in the administration of benefits including open enrollment, qualifying events, COBRA and facilitating benefit orientation.

    Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

    Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices.

    Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources, talent management and employment law.

    Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure and aptitude exams and certifications.

    Provide recruiting support to including positing positions, reviewing applications, pre-screening applicants, scheduling interviews for hiring managers and presenting offers of employment.

    Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.

    Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.

    Maintain employment records for all team members.

    Performs other duties as assigned.

    Education and Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.

    Minimum two (2) years of Human Resources experience is required.

    PHR/SHRM-CP certification strongly preferred.

    Ability to exercise independent judgement, prioritize work and maintain confidentiality required.

    People-oriented and results-driven.

    Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.

    Computer Skills:

    Intermediate to expert Microsoft Office skills

    Experience with HRIS and ATS systems
