Job Summary: Top talent that has a passion for winning and making a difference. The Paid Intern, Marketing Sales Support position at College Hunks Hauling Junk and College Hunks Moving provides the opportunity to work with our customers and build upon your business acumen skills.
Working Conditions: Warehouse Office Environment, Travel to Perform Customer Visits, Networking Events,Seeking out Opportunities for Company Exposure
Equipment Used: Telephone, Computer, Customer Relationship Management Program, Social Media, Automobile, Cell Phone.
Essential Tasks:
Work with both the sales and marketing team
Research and write blog posts
Create content for social media and website
Assist with internal communications
Generate sales proposals and presentations for prospects utilizing quoting software
Generate appointments for Sales Consultants using social media, telephone and actively seek new business managing leads and capturing information utilizing proprietary software
Update job knowledge by contacting customers at appropriate opportunities
Meet proposal deadlines
Perform additional tasks as required.
Experience/ Skills Required:
Pursuing a degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a similar area
Excellent verbal communication skills and telephone manner
Excellent and accurate written communication
Familiarity with computers; ability to learn new software specific to this business
Familiarity with social media
Ability to multitask
Attention to detail; accurate data entry
Customer Focused work ethic
Resourceful and able to research independently to problem solve
Technical aptitude
Deadline-Oriented
Responsibilities:
Training is on the job and focused on developing skills in both marketing and sales in a business to customer model. As an intern with our business, you will be responsible for supporting the sales team’s efforts covering a regional geographic territory of prospective accounts, as well as working with the marketing team to help support those sales.
Qualifications:
Our intern will possess strong selling and communication skills. In addition, critical thinking, leadership, and organizational skills are key to planning, prioritizing, and executing our business plan. Successful job performance comes from a commitment to generating results. We offer a competitive hourly wage based on years of college completed and reimbursement for business mileage at times when a company vehicle is not available.
The qualified, successful candidate will possess the following:
Must reside in the Lansing area
Valid driver’s license in good standing
Reliable transportation to complete multiple sales calls per day
Willingness to learn and motivation to succeed
Currently enrolled in an degree program and entering your Sophomore, Junior or Senior Year
Frequent meetings to review accomplishments and review week’s schedule
We will gladly work with your school to help you obtain any internship credits that you might need toward your degree.
This internship will require a commitment of 15-20 hours per week during the Summer of 2019. There is a potential for part-time work with flexible scheduling during the School year.
