    What We Need

    Kymeta is looking for a Sales Director who will primarily focused on distributors and customers in Canada and the Yukon Territories. This position will support existing partners and customers once they are established but will initially be responsible for developing new distribution partners within the region. Daily activities will include various webex, phone, or in-person presentations and explanations of hardware, satellite and cellular connectivity, and support services. The position will be the first point of contact for assigned distributors and customers in support of Pricing, Engineering, Training, Marketing, Accounting, and Logistics.

    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ensure inventory is stored in an organized manner
    • Address needs of assigned and prospective VARS and customers
    • Coordination of documents, contracts, price lists for equipment, satellite and LTE capacity, and support
    • Close coordination with Sales Operations for product and price quotes
    • Collaboration with VARs toward developing opportunities and supporting sales efforts
    • Identifying new sales opportunities within customer base
    • Presentation of all aspects of Kymeta Solutions to distribution partners and customers
    • Liaise between distribution partners and other departments of Kymeta including Sales Ops, Product Development, Logistics, Engineering, and Training
    • Attend Kymeta meetings as needed and participate in required training and development

    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    • 2+ years of previous experience in a warehouse role
    • Knowledge of satellite systems, networks, and equipment
    • Familiarity with current satellite technologies Dish vs Flat Panel terminals, LEO vs GEO orbits, etc
    • Familiarity with LTE systems and networks
    • Strong customer facing abilities including presentation and negotiation
    • Ability to work effectively from a remote location
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Time management ability to balance administrative tasks including reporting and email response with customer facing duties

    EDUCATION

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business
    • Additional technical or service training a plus

    COMPENSATION

    Kymeta is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. In the spirit of pay transparency, we have determined the salary range for this position to be $150k - $200k. This is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would be atypical, in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. Compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and geography. The total compensation package for this position includes a sales incentive plan, stock options, and benefits listed below. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer.

    KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Manage multiple projects and project management teams while appropriately delegating responsibilities and ensuring cost, schedule, quality and safety discipline across the organization.
    • Coordinate with pre-construction planning, estimating, entitlement, and design teams.
    • Work with the development team to establish and marry the construction objectives and plans with the overarching development business strategy including legal and business deal points related to GC contract.
    • Lead GC contracting efforts including the bidding process, negotiation of agreements, and contract drafting.
    • Implement timelines and critical path scheduling for initial project start-up.
    • Work closely with PMs and Pre-Construction to review all major subcontractor and material bids.
    • Evaluate and manage risk.
    • Monitor profitability, and variances, and report changes to senior leadership and otherwise report on work progress regularly.
    • Actively participates in project constructability reviews.
    • Actively participates in the career development of lower-tier supervisors and managers providing training and development goals, performance evaluations, and training for each team member.
    • Work with leadership to establish and maintain construction team policies and procedures ensuring all are followed by the construction team.
    • Works with Human Resources to identify, attract, and retain new and current top talent.
    • Oversee construction workload and ensure proper talent utilization.
    • Work with owners and Columnar Management to prepare budgets and analyze financial reports.
    • Report and share key factors influencing the performance of the construction division with the Senior Management.
    • Set goals, monitor work, and evaluate results to ensure that departmental and organizational objectives and operating requirements are met and are in line with the needs and vision of the organization.
    • Maintain standard job cost reporting.
    • Assist in sourcing new business opportunities, provide presentations, and attend conferences and client/investor dinners.
    • Develop and manage highly productive relationships and partnerships for the benefit of the organization.
    • Work alongside community leaders, executive directors, major donors/funders, government officials, and senior staff/board members.
    • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the President.

     

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project (or similar), estimating/accounting software, as well as project management software such as Primavera.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

                   

    • Four-year STEM degree from an accredited College or University.
    • Ten-years in the construction industry, at least 3 in a senior leadership position.
    • Industrial warehouse construction experience.
    • Tilt-up wall construction experience.
    • Multifamily construction experience.
    • Project management experience.
    • Experience with self-perform construction.
    • Experience working for a general contractor.

     

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    • Travel will be required to manage developments and attend meetings.
    • Ability to sit or stand for entire shift.
    • Occasionally requited to stoop, bend, walk, crouch, and climb.
    • Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
