  • Responsibilities

    HealthFitness has a great opportunity for a full-time (40 hrs/week) INJURY PREVENTION & TREATMENT COORDINATOR (ATHLETIC TRAINER) at our Florida Panhandle site locations.  In this position, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and evaluating programs focused on the prevention of work related injuries, physical conditioning, and employee education and well-being within the client environment.  This is done in collaboration with the Client’s employee healthcare teams and health and well-being team.

     

    Additional programming efforts may include ergonomic work-site assessments and job coaching, ergonomic risk analysis, movement efficiency screening, and root cause analysis at the work site. You will assist employees in returning to the work site and modify procedures and processes within the employee’s functional abilities.

     

    You will be required to complete accurate tracking and documentation of all encounters with client employees, as well as to create reports for client and HealthFitness Corporation.

     

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Conducts employee injury prevention programs, education and training.
    • Leads the development and implementation of interventions/programs focused on the client environment to meet client objectives.
    • Provide early intervention/first aid for employees.
    • Assists employee healthcare teams with job function assessment, incident investigation and care management.
    • Collect and evaluate program data to support the program, manages and reports data for all IPT services.
    • Other duties as needed/assigned.

     

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS:

     

    REQUIRED:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training or related field.
    • 2+ years experience in athletic training.
    • CPR/AED and First Aid certification through the AHA or American Red Cross. 
    • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands.
    • Must be BOC certified and possess Florida state athletic training licensure.
    • Experience and expertise in ergonomics, injury prevention and management of work related injuries/illnesses.
    • Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to work without direct supervision.
    • Travel 50-75% to other client locations.

     

    PREFERRED:

    • Understanding of Biomechanics.
    • Understanding of Occupational Safety.
    • Demonstrated skill in program development, implementation, marketing and promotion.

    REQUIREMENTS:           

    • Minimum of 2 years of industry experience
    • Real estate license desirable
    • Certified Relocation Professional (CRP) desirable
    • Customer service focus through listening to the external customers, anticipating their needs and giving high priority to customer satisfaction
    • Ability to work successfully in a team environment
    • Attention to detail
    • Well-organized with excellent follow-up skills
    • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Windows environment as well as Internet usage
    • Consistently maintain a high activity/productivity level
    • Adapt effectively in varying environments with different tasks, responsibilities and/or people
    • Work effectively under pressure
    • Well-spoken with good communication and listening skills
