    The global health sector is undergoing a digital transformation in its ongoing commitment to solve health challenges and increase health equity.  Our work focuses on supporting countries in using data and digital tools and approaches to accelerate and amplify their health investments, achieve their health outcomes, and increase health impact. An important driver and component of that work is the digital transformation of global health itself. The Center of Digital and Data Excellence (CoDE) works with government ministries of health, the private sector, and donors to improve the use of digital technologies and data for improved health services. You will support our projects as a key member of the Center of Digital and Data Excellence’s engagement team

     

    PATH is seeking an outstanding Senior Communications Associate to further this movement by supporting and amplifying our data and digital activities.  You will join an amazing team with a thriving, innovative culture. You will envision, manage and implement activities to achieve CoDE’s advocacy and communication goals.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    • Develop, maintain, and manage high-quality, engaging communication materials from concept to completion, including fact sheets, articles, overview decks, and project documentation such as presentations and reports.
    • Ensure that communications are appropriate and compelling for the intended audience and purpose, are clearly and effectively organized and written, and are consistent with stated goals and priorities.
    • Support in the development of communications strategies, including identifying communication objectives, key messages, target audiences, communication channels and metrics
    • Enhance PATH’s role as a global convener in the digital and data sectors through partnership management, as well as meeting and event support.
    • Liaise with expert reviewers to ensure accuracy and clarity of technical content.
    • Engage and manage graphic designers, editors, and proofers.
    • Ensure that PATH quality standards and design norms are met and support team members in complying with established procedures and processes.
    • Develop and produce multimedia communications output. Manage digital channels and website content.
    • Track communications metrics.
    • Participate in team strategy and work planning meetings to contribute toward the development and execution of the program’s objectives and priorities.
    • Liaise with other communications staff at PATH to share information, resources, and lessons learned.

     

    Required Skills Required Experience

     

     

    • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or related field plus a minimum of five years of directly related experience, in communications or marketing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Experience in technology or global health-related communications preferred.
    • Experience in Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and PowerPoint.
    • Experience with graphic design and multimedia and online communications, including webcasts, podcasts, blogs, etc.
    • Demonstrated ability to translate scientific and technical material into stories and content that engage and resonate with target audiences.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple communication channels, including social media, web sites, and knowledge management platforms.
    • Excellent English language oral communication, writing and editing skills. Strong interpersonal communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
    • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines while balancing multiple projects and stakeholders.
    • Strong time and task management skills. Well-organized and detail oriented with good follow-through.
    • Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure, adapt to change, and cope with the unexpected.
    • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and as part of a cross-disciplinary, global team.

    Required Skills:

     

    _EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS _

    • Previous supervising experience. Experience in meat industry essential.

    • College degree in meat or animal science preferred.

    • Previous training and experience in application of SPC techniques.
