POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting a wide range of needs for teams across the organization.
The function of the Business Analyst is to understand needs, drive requirements, propose solutions and manage the delivery of multiple cross-functional projects and integrations between different systems. Additionally, the BA will be required to oversee development, testing and training for all business users along with ensuring the proper evolution of the solutions to meet both functional and technical needs.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Relationship Management
- Act as the primary liaison for multiple distinct domains within the business community.
- Work with the business teams to gather requirements for enhancements, change requests and new functionality.
- Conduct workflow analysis and assist in identifying recommendations in systemic and functional process flow.
- Identify business and/or system issues and provide alternative options for resolution.
- Train the business user community on system functionality.
- Stay abreast of contemporary technology trends/concepts and serve as an SME for the business teams.
Documentation and Communication
- Identify, translate business requirements to functional specifications and work with internal and external technical resources to create technical plans, documentation and solutions.
- Provide timely and consistent communication with the internal and external teams, including: providing status updates on projects, system development, support and operational requests.
- Assist with change management and the creation and ongoing development of training documents such as training manuals, user quick reference sheets and how-to guides.
- Facilitate training sessions.
- Maintain all documentation regarding the business processes and their related system solution diagrams.
System Maintenance and Support
- Lead in unit, system, integration and user acceptance test plan development and execution, including the creation of test scenarios/scripts, test data setup and verification/validation of test results.
- Manage issues and bugs within the system using tracking/ support systems; liaise with internal and external resources to facilitate resolution and closure.
- Serve as the main point of escalation for issues requiring external/ vendor support.
Vendor Management
- Work with vendors to validate and refine technical specifications against business requirements.
- Communicate with external vendors and other departments to resolve production issues, upgrades, and software evaluations.
- Prepare for and participate in vendor relationship activities and stewardship meetings on an ongoing basis.

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology / MIS / Business Administration / Finance / Accounting or related work experience.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 6+ years’ business analysis experience in the fashion apparel or related industry, with increasing responsibilities.
- Proven lifecycle solution development, from requirements gathering through build, test, deploy and support.
- Ability to write clear specifications and requirements.
- Demonstrated experience documenting use cases and functional requirements.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong inclination to follow-up, communicate through ambiguity, and function with a service orientation.
- Detail and task oriented with a sense of urgency and the ability to reprioritize as needed with minimal direction.
- Ability to multitask in a collaborative environment, partnering with individuals from various departments.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to analyze and make recommendations on solutions.
