Position Overview As a Combo Technician, you will work closely with the Body Shop Manager, Lead Body Technician, and Collision/Service Writers to coordinate daily repair activities and ensure each vehicle is repaired efficiently, correctly, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for both structural/body repairs and paint preparation/application — ensuring seamless communication and execution from teardown to final polish.
Key Responsibilities Manage multiple repairs simultaneously as assigned Inspect vehicles and assist in damage evaluation and repair planning Review repair orders for completeness and accuracy Verify parts upon delivery and communicate discrepancies Coordinate repair plan changes with management and writers Provide repair status updates throughout the process Perform structural and non-structural body repairs Prep vehicles for paint, including dent repair and surface correction
Paint & Refinish Duties Prepare surfaces by sanding, masking, filling, and priming Diagnose paint issues (swirls, scratches, defects) Determine whether correction or repaint is required Mix, tint, blend, and apply paint accurately Perform buffing, polishing, and finishing work Maintain paint guns, hoses, and equipment Maintain paint booth and change filters as needed Utilize and document within Infinity Colornet Program Maintain working knowledge of GFS Ultra Mix Booth (or equivalent) Continue development of Axalta-Cromax product knowledge
Production & Collaboration Communicate effectively with Lead Tech, Writers, and Management Coordinate third-party assistance (Blue Rock or O’Reilly Auto) when needed Enter data and updates into CCC system Maintain strong workflow communication to support customer updates

Experience Required Valid driver’s license 3+ years collision and/or paint experience preferred Proficiency in masking, sanding, blending, spraying, and refinishing Computer literacy and data entry capability Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to stand, bend, twist, and move throughout the workday Willingness to pursue ongoing industry training Reliable, punctual, and positive attitude
