  • Responsibilities

    I. Position Summary:

    This position helps improve the efficiency of the destination marketing organization by assisting the sales, convention services, and partnership departments. Under general supervision, this position works according to set procedures, policies, and departmental guidelines. This position also performs clerical or manual tasks to include copying, compiling, entering data, and/or computing data using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

    Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

    · Serves as office assistant for 1010 CVB/ECSC & Sports Offices:

    · Manages inventory of office and kitchen supplies and reorder as necessary.

    · Compiles and maintains adequate supply of sales promotional materials and monitor usage.

    · Receives visitors upon arrival and direct to appropriate area.

    · Provides assistance to VP Sales and Executive Director Sports Council as needed.

    · Assists Sales Managers in planning direct sales calls, FAM tours, site inspections and trade marketplaces. Gathering and shipping essential materials as needed.

    · Assists Convention Services Manager as needed in servicing groups, including but not limited to distribution of visitor guides, staffing welcome tables and developing off site activities.

    · Answers and responds to incoming calls, emails and other communications as directed.

    · Provides support as requested for partner development activities, special events, site visits and fam trips

    · Prepares custom gift baskets for Meeting Planners/VIP’s, etc.

    · Other duties as assigned.

    IV. Education and Qualification Required:

    • High School Diploma

    • 2-3 years administrative experience or related internship experience.

    • Proficency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)

    • Good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

    • This position is part-time and will work up to 25 hours per work week. Preferrably 5 hours per day M-F.

    • Must be aware that you are a representative of Experience Columbia SC in appearance and attitude at all times.

    • Valid state driver’s license
