    WHAT WILL YOU DO?  As the Sales Manager you are responsible for the development of new business opportunities within an assigned geography, enhancing and contributing to the overall increase of market share, revenue and profitability consistent with the sales strategy. In addition, you are responsible for hiring, mentoring and developing the Sales team to ensure sales, revenue and profit goals are met. 

    Some key accountabilities you will have as the Sales Manager include… 

    • Managing the sales activities ensuring that strong customer relationships are established and maintained while also driving the sales team to achieve business objectives in both construction and service sales activities. This means promoting team selling and the expansion of existing relationships into additional new sales. 
    • Supporting the sales teams in direct selling key/assigned accounts as required and being available as a point of contact for clients. 
    • Working with Account Executives to identify key targets and accounts and developing/implementing sales strategies to ensure successful sales. 
    • Assisting the sales team in determining margins, identifying resources and assessing future potential business. You will also provide reporting metrics as needed. 
    • Partnering with the Business Development team and Division Leadership to develop long-range sales planning and growth and monthly sales forecasts which will also include providing input on budgets. 
    • Managing the sales team performance; providing coaching and training paths to develop skills with each team member, communicating goals and providing performance appraisals to direct reports, providing input to commission plans, and managing/reporting on the sales funnel.

     

     

    THINGS YOU MAY HAVE DONE BEFORE 

    • Have a bachelor’s degree 
    • Have 5+ years of previous Sales Management experience including Energy industry experience and people management 
    • Have progressive experience selling; ESPC, design build retrofits, smart-city solutions, and / or creative financial energy solutions 
    • Demonstrated history of successfully leading a sales team and achieving financial goals 
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and business relationships 
    • Excellent demonstrated sales skills in prospecting, qualifying, proposing and closing 
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
    • Excellent presentation skills to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers 
    • Strong decision-making skills 
    • Strong project management and decision-making skills 
    • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills--Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point 
    • Travel 50% of the time
