    POSITION SUMMARY

     

    How would you like to be part of building Las Vegas?  With Envise, you'll be able to see our projects come to life!

     

    As a Controls Engineer at Envise, you will pro-actively engage new and existing customers, from all industries, with face to face meetings, and you will develop consultative business relationships with end-users, building property/facility managers and general contractors to better understand their needs and to develop a winning sales strategy.  This role reports to the Branch Sales Manager.

     

    POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

    The Controls Engineer is responsible for the design, development and integration of all hardware drawings and software components as required to produce, complete, and fully functional building automation systems for assigned projects.

     

    WHAT YOU’LL DO:

    • Reviews Hardware Design plans, specifications and sales proposals for assigned projects and prepare engineering plans.
    • Generates Visio control drawings and project submittal documents as required, creates sequence of operations for different systems/equipment, and selects products, controllers and end devices as needed to perform required control sequences.
    • Understands and clearly illustrates wiring diagrams for selected end devices
    • Generates valve Schedule, Damper schedule, Points List, and Checkout Sheets, etc. as required on assigned project.
    • Attends meetings with owner, design engineer, and other parties as required and provides Valued Engineering ideas to the team
    • Works closely with the software specialist to select the appropriate software packages, servers, and workstations for assigned projects, along with documenting the work done.
    • Works closely with software specialist to select the appropriate products to integrate with multi-vendor HVAC control systems and electrical systems
    • Creates operations and maintenance manuals and prepares all training materials for customer.

     

    WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a closely related Engineering field
    • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in DDC controls, or building automation design
    • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation including sequence of operations, technical product literature, programming manuals and specifications.
    • Strong knowledge of the latest versions of AutoCAD and MS Visio, knowledge of commonly used networks and network topologies, and familiarity with NEC code for Class 2 wiring
    • Knowledge of building mechanical and electrical equipment functions and use, HVAC systems controls applications, hardware and software products.
    • Ability to function independently from daily supervision.
