POSITION SUMMARY

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Account Manager will generate qualified construction and service opportunities with customers that we do not have strong ties with currently. Additionally, the role is responsible for collaborating with our sales team to achieve sales quotas and grow our business.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Meet with prospective customers in order to generate and close sales in both project and service areas; identify sales opportunities or identifies areas of improvement with existing clients
• Develop a trusted, long-lasting advisor relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
• Internal communication and bid coordination
• Lead point of contact for all matters specific to your customers; tracks and communicates trends in customer satisfaction and/or account issues with branch leadership and sales team
• Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
• Prepare and maintain account status reports

WHAT MAKES YOU SUCCESSFUL:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Very effective people skills that allows a person to build a favorable rapport quickly with others. Must demonstrated, successful sales skills in prospecting, qualifying, proposing and closing. Cold calling for new prospects is required and should include innovative ideas to create sales opportunities, which differentiate Southland Industries from competitors.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume
• Must be familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
