ComForCare is seeking a compassionate and caring Companion Caregiver in Collingwood.

Companion Care is a unique opportunity to build a professional relationship intended to compliment the clients’ needs while improving their quality of life, being mindful of the benefits of social contact.

We are looking for applicants who are interested in working in a one to one setting in clients’ homes.

As a Companion Caregiver you may be asked to do the following tasks:Cooking including meal prep and planning as well as shopping for groceries. Light housekeeping tasks such as dusting, sweeping, washing dishes, changing bed linens, laundry and cleaning bathrooms.Accompaniment to appointments.Most importantly, meaningful activities like discussing recent events in the community, playing cards or games and/or listening to music to name a few.

A ComForCare Companion Care provider should:

Be a great conversationalist who shows genuine attentiveness to the clients’ needs and interests.

Be able to obtain a vulnerable sector check satisfactory to our agency.

Have the ability to get to clients home in a defined geographical area (personal or public transportation).
