Job Summary:Companion care is a unique opportunity to build a professional relationship intended to compliment the clients needs while improving their quality of life, being mindful of the benefits of social contact. As a Companion Care Provider you may be asked to do:Some simple cooking including meal prep and planning A few light housekeeping tasks such as dusting, sweeping, washing dishes, changing bed linens, laundry and cleaning bathrooms.Most importantly, meaningful activities like playing cards or games and/or listening to music or discussing recent events in the community.Memory care experience is helpful.A ComForCare Companion Care provider should:Be a great conversationalist who shows genuine interest in the clients needs and interests. Be able to obtain a vulnerable sector check satisfactory to our agency.Have the ability to get to clients home in a defined geographical area (personal or public transportation).
