Servicing: Lower Bucks County & Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania

Job Description: The Direct Support Professional provides specifically defined care services for the client so that the client can continue to live as independently as possible. The Direct Support Professional will follow the ISP ( Individual Support Plan) provided for them from the scheduling coordinator to help clients work on goals identified. Some of those goals may be working with a client on money management, meal prep, social skills, safety awareness and other goals noted in the ISP.

Some example of goals could be taking client to the grocery store and helping them make healthy choices in food and then taking them home and helping them prepare a meal.

Another example is taking a client to the store and having them make a purchase and helping the client to make sure they have enough money and then go over a budget with them.

Qualifications:

• One year of experience working with clients with Intellectual Disabilities

• Satisfactory compliance with ComForCare bonding criteria

• Demonstrated ability to effectively understand and implement client;s ISP goals, as well as working with client on said goals

• Satisfactorily demonstrate and perform competency in clinical skills through competency checklist and skills demonstration test

• Minimum score of 80% on competency exam during pre-employment phase

Mandatory Requirements for Employment:

• Current 2 step PPD or Chest X-Ray

• Valid Driver's License

• Your own vehicle

• Your own Automobile Insurance and current Registration

• Criminal History-No Prohibitive Offenses Contained in ACT 169 of 1996 as Amended by Act 13 of 1997 Criminal Offense
