    Major Responsibilities:

    Provide care and support to children with special needs (e.g. autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome), in their homes

    Interact and communicate with staff and parents in a professional manner

    Engaging in playtime and fun home learning activities

    Participate in required ongoing training and development activities and events

    Pay close attention to details/follow instructions

    Use technology (mobile app) to maintain an always accurate schedule and enter timesheets

    Arrive at and from an assigned shift on time and properly document all shifts worked

    Appropriately report any changes to the client’s mental/physical health or home environment immediately

    Qualifications:

    Minimum of 1 year of child-related experience (youth groups, camp counselor, after school aid, babysitter, nanny, teacher, classroom aid, or similar)

    Previous experience with special needs a PLUS

    CPR and First Aid certification a PLUS

    High School diploma or equivalent

    Reliable, punctual, patient, kind, and a great communicator

    Access to a reliable car for commuting to families' homes

    Able and willing to undergo a background check
