    Job Summary:

    The Caregiver provides clients various homemaker/companion services. Shifts vary in locations: Minnetonka, Plymouth, Eden Prairie, White Bear Lake and St. Paul

    Companion/Sitter/Household Management

    Provide companionship and respite services for family

    Perform homemaking activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning bathrooms

    Personal Cares

    Bathing/Showering, clothing, feeding, hygiene and grooming cares.

    Transferring with gait belt (ex: bed to wheel chair)

    Med Reminders

    Transporation

    Meals

    Museums

    Therapy

    Doctor Appointments

    Qualifications/Educational Requirements:

    High school graduate or G.E.D certificate

    At least six months experience as a Caregiver, Certified Nurse Aide, or Home Health Aide (in homes or facilities)

    Be listed in good standing on the Minnesota Nurse Assistant Registry

    Great understanding and experience with Dementia

    Achieves a minimum score of 80% on competency exam (Home Health Aide Test)

    Meets passing criteria on DEARS Ethics test

    Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job

    Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation for the job
