Comagine Health is looking for an ASSOCIATE IMPROVEMENT ADVISOR to support multiple projects. This position will be a part of project teams implementing a COVID-19 community outreach program for the African American community in Washington State and regional chronic disease prevention and self-management education initiatives. This position will collaborate with other staff and our community partners to support program implementation, partner convening, developing health media messages, facilitating meetings and trainings, and coalition building. This position will design and implement interventions, curricula, and processes. This is a unique opportunity to engage with healthcare providers, community health workers, community partners, and other external audiences.

    WHO IS COMAGINE HEALTH?

    Comagine Health is a non-profit consulting organization that seeks to improve health and to increase the effectiveness and quality of health care. As a recognized Quality Improvement Organization-Quality Improvement Network (QIO-QIN), we work closely with providers, plans, purchasers, community-based organizations, and community members to improve community health. We offer services to state and federal agencies and others to help them better manage health care under the existing system and to assess, plan for and implement broader system transformation. We collaborate with academic, government, and nonprofit partners on initiatives funded by NIH, CDC, AHRQ, BJA, SAMHSA, and others.

    Preferred applicants will have experience with community health initiatives, quality improvement program development and implementation and collaborating with diverse partners to achieve a common aim. You must reside Washington State to be considered.

    WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU A STRONG FIT FOR OUR ROLE:

    • Experience with outreaching to communities disproportionately impacted by disparities and convening community conversations.
    • Understanding of quality improvement concepts, tools, and techniques and how to apply them under the direction of senior staff.
    • Ability to provide training and support to internal and external partners’ use of technical tools.
    • Hands-on experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, Zoom, and SharePoint, strongly preferred.
    • Ability to organize and coordinate multiple simultaneous tasks in a team environment on behalf of the team and for oneself.
    • Experience with African American communities or organizations.

     

     

    WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING FOR US:

    • Supports project lead with the fulfillment of all project requirements and deliverables.
    • Supports the development, implementation and evaluation of project plans and developing efficient and effective internal processes for tracking progress towards goals.
    • Tracks subtasks and other project activities; collects and inputs data and narrative into reports; prepares reports of project progress.
    • Coordinates meeting logistics, including scheduling, registration, development of supporting materials and agendas for internal and external events.
    • Supports the design, development and maintenance of project templates, tools, and other materials (e.g., quality improvement resources, training presentations, meeting materials).
    • Assists project teams with the design and implementation of interventions, curricula, and processes.
    • Assists others when meeting with healthcare providers, community partners, and other external audiences; and/or when delivering technical assistance, training, or other services to clients.
    • Convenes and facilitates meetings for training, education, and coalition-building.
    • With adequate support, oversight, and training, may deliver technical assistance, support, or training in areas of their subject matter expertise, via face-to-face or telephone/video conference formats, to a variety of partners.
    • Assists in development of and/or gives formal presentations to providers, community health workers, community-based organizations and other audiences
    • Develops and maintains positive relationships with internal and external customers.
    • Documents engagement efforts, technical assistance, and other activities in a CRM or other tracking systems; provides coaching and support as needed to team members regarding documentation of project activities in the CRM.
    • Develops and maintains subject matter expertise regarding process improvement methodologies and theories.

    Required Skills

    • Proficiency with project management concepts and tools (e.g., project planning software).
    • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams).
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Theoretical and practical knowledge of quality improvement methods and tools.
    • Familiarity with health care terminology (preferred but not required).
    • Familiarity with health care clinical and operational workflows (preferred but not required).

    Required Experience

    • BA/BS in a health care, public health, or related field (equivalent combination of education and/or work experience in related field may be substituted).
    • 2+ years of program/project coordination experience.
    • Prior experience in health care or public health (preferred).
    • CANDIDATES MUST RESIDE IN WASHINGTON STATE.

    SALARY R__ANGE: $51,447 - $71,198

    The salary range posted reflects the range that Comagine is willing to pay for this position.  Salary is determined by many factors, including but not limited to geographic location of where the employee will perform their job duties in addition to their knowledge, skills, education, and relevant work experience.
