    Our E Commerce Manager is responsible for leading and growing the E-Commerce business for both Rickis.com & cleo.ca. An E-Commerce wizard who loves data driven insights and is motivated by creating a powerful customer experiences, you will own and execute all e-commerce activities and initiatives on behalf of these two exciting Canadian retail brands. This position is FT 37.5 hours. The position can be based out of Manitoba or Ontario Home Office.

    Our ideal candidate has strong general retail business knowledge, is analytical in their thought process, and has a customer-centric & team focused attitude.

    Passionate about all aspects of the E Commerce journey, you will spend your time focusing on website optimization, from content delivery to new site functionality as well as customer engagement, product merchandising, conversion opportunities, operations, cross-functional team collaboration and overall revenue for our online businesses.

    You will be responsible for supporting strategy development and executing the online merchandising strategy of the Division and its respective categories. You will be responsible for executing the day-to-day tactics to achieve sales, conversion, AOV and margin targets, in addition to supporting the development of the on-site merchandising strategy and roadmap to for key category initiatives. You will be responsible for executing promotional & strategic content while working cross-functionally to trouble-shoot and operate day-to-day functioning of the business.

    You will also provide leadership to and manage the daily workload, priorities, and output of the E-Commerce team, while ensuring brand direction and standards are respected.

    The successful candidate will be willing to work in an entrepreneurial environment, and is comfortable working independently within a highly collaborative team. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a can-do attitude who is highly adept at organizing and communicating up, down and across the organization. The individual will work with teams to create strategy to drive programs and initiatives across the finish line.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Primary responsibility for the E Commerce businesses; developing growth plans and working with the Leadership team to execute the vision for Rickis.com and cleo.ca.

    Overall site operations responsibility including conversion, product catalogue and the user experience.

    Collaboration with the Planning Teams to ensure e-commerce promotional activities are effectively executed.

    Collaboration with the Digital Marketing Manager on optimizing social media, SEO/SEM, paid media/social media and content to drive sales growth, attract new customers, and grow engagement of our current customer base.

    Analyze website and product sales data to optimize homepage, product listing pages, site search and navigation.

    Collaboration of online product content and merchandising strategies that drive the consumer experience, product discovery and conversions.

    Partner closely with product, allocations, photography and copy teams to launch new products and ensure accuracy of product catalogue.

    Perform regular product catalog checks to ensure ongoing quality of catalog listings, troubleshooting and resolving product listing errors when necessary.

    Supporting and executing against the objectives of our loyalty programs.

    Analyzing and reporting on sales results of existing campaigns and test campaigns and established KPIs

    Monitoring market trends, researching consumer markets and competitors’ activities.

    Collaborating with business and marketing stakeholders to support the development of existing and new technology, marketing, and loyalty strategies.

    First point of contact internally as site issues arise and liaise with technology teams to resolve bugs and issue – ultimately ensuring delivery of a frictionless web experience.

    Drive management content planning calendar and ensure path to purchase in co-ordination with the retail Category Management, Promo, Brand, Content and Production teams to bring strategy to life online

    Development of reporting and analysis of e-commerce Sales, Margin, Conversion, AOV and onsite customer web metrics as it relates to each Brand.

    Leverage insights and results to support the development of e-commerce specific strategies, recommend changes and accelerate expansion of successful programs.

    Support the development and execute Category and each Brand initiatives including:

    • Onboarding new categories and online exclusives

    • Content planning throughout customer journey and ensuring path to purchase

    • Strategy development and execution of experience pages

    • Navigation and search optimization

    • Ensuring end to end success of categories from online experience to customer fulfillment

    • Drive conversations and provide recommendations to increase on-site engagement & content effectiveness for Brand/Category programs focused on KPIs of conversion, product page view, add to cart, time on site and revenue driven by content stories

    • Liaise with Product Management teams to support execution of product roadmap and surface requirements from a merchandising perspective as it relates to driving increased conversion and engagement.

    Work with cross-functional teams including Customer Growth, Product, Brand and Category to drive an execute the end to end customer journey for Division category strategies from acquisition through to conversion.

    Support Director and Senior Manager in developing and presenting Strategic and Financial plans.

    Own personal development plan and effectively manage time to deliver business and customer KPIs.

    What you bring

    3+ years of E Commerce marketing experience

    3+ years of experience in eCommerce merchandising or retail buying is required

    3+ years of daily use of reporting and analytics toolsets with the goal of understanding business performance to guide decision making (examples include Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Power BI, and other data platforms such as Shopify analytics or Salesforce)

    Direct experience with Commerce Cloud an asset

    At least 1-2 years’ experience as a people leader and developer, managing workload and motivating the team

    Solid understanding of the apparel environment and the online digital space

    Exceptional written and verbal communication, including proofreading and editing experience

    Experience developing/executing customer facing marketing campaigns within the online digital space; copywriting experience a plus

    Strong organizational skills and the demonstrated ability to show initiative and bring new ideas forward; manage project plans and execute on time

    Adaptable, with the ability to multi-task and manage varying work volumes and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment in order to deliver against tight deadlines

    Experience in managing website CRO, marketing database segmentation and defining customer journeys

    Experience with social media platforms and social media marketing – knowledgeable about Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and other emerging social media opportunities

    Experience negotiating and managing external vendor relationships

    Demonstrated experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

    Ability to work flex hours required

    What does one work week look like?

    Analyzing daily KPI’s and metrics, such as buying patterns, revenue, AOV, conversion rate, revenue per visitor to identify trends, and recommend activity to generate sales growth.

    Building a yearly, monthly, and weekly budget that looks at traffic, conversion, AOV, industry trends and customer buying behaviour, while ensuring accurate reforecasting throughout the fiscal year.

    Planning and executing site merchandising strategies to include selection, pricing, promotion, product display, product information, on-site search and inventory

    Partnering with the CRO to identify and optimize website conversion funnels and goals

    Developing and implementing marketing strategies and website experience, including segmentation, A/B testing, content and creative that will maximize conversion rates and sales on a daily and weekly basis

    Collaborating with and communicating updates to the leadership team to ensure the eCommerce strategy aligns with and continues to support the overall business growth plan.

    Providing mentorship and leadership to the e-commerce team to drive both individual and team success.

    Planning and executing site merchandising strategies to include selection, pricing, promotion, product display, product information, on-site search, and inventory.

    Collaborating with wider stakeholder team to plan and execute the promotional strategies.

    Partnering with the creative and technology teams to create impactful and personalized website experiences for different customer groups, and continually test offers, messages promotions and creative.

    Providing insights, analysis, and suggesting appropriate changes to the website as needed, as well as reports on site performance and industry trends.

    Leading and managing a team with at least 4+ direct reports, including coaching, mentoring, and supporting the achievement of individual and overall team goals.
